Can you sum up Teton Valley? Farm meets mountain culture.

What is a perfect day in Teton Valley? A morning feeding goats at my friend’s farm (I love farm-sitting) followed by an afternoon grouse hunting in the Big Hole Mountains. Lastly an evening grilling Idaho elk steaks and filling my plate with fresh greens from our biodynamic CSA.

If Teton Valley was a person or character who would it be and why? Modern homesteader/outdoor enthusiast – weathered skin, dirty hands, with multiple sets of skis tucked into the shed out back.  Our community features all kinds of earthy folks. They often have a knack for living off the land in their own way and playing outside in the snow or the dirt.

How long have you been using Instagram? A little over a year.

Do you shoot with your phone or other cameras or both? Always my camera.

What is your editing process? I do a short and sweet edit using Lightroom before uploading to my Instagram.

Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? It has inspired me to work harder at telling a story within a single frame.

Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Don’t forget to experience the moments you’re documenting. See it first. Shoot it second.

Who are your three favorite Instagrammers?  @evakosmasflores, @bigskybandits, @livingitrural.

Best place to eat:

Forage & Lounge

Best place to drink:

The Royal Wolf

Best outdoor activity:

Fly fishing all the creeks and rivers around these parts.

Must do:

If visiting in the summer months – catch a show at The Spud Theatre, the local drive in theatre.

Local tip:

Explore the Big Hole Mountains. They are much less sought after by visitors – as we are sandwiched between them and the Teton Range. They are no Grand Teton but breathtaking in their own way – and quieter.
