Breakfast in Pioneertown, bowling in Yucca Valley and a trek into Hidden Valley in the National Park followed by clambering up some rocks to watch the sunset at the Hall of Horrors.

What is the best thing about Joshua Tree?

Joshua Tree National Park.

What is the worst?

Walmart.

If Joshua Tree was a person or character who would it be?

Indiana Jones’ childhood.

Who are three of your favorite artists?

Art is subjective, my favorites change everyday. Right now it’s Richard Brautigan, Werner Herzog and Robert Altman.

Local Tip:

The smaller hikes in the park are the most rewarding, as opposed to most of the other National Parks in the US. Hidden Valley, Barkers Dam, Ryan Mountain, Keys View. Don’t be afraid to go off-path.
