Lonely Skyline by Rao Vijayendra in Montrose, Houston, Texas, USA

Apparently, the collection of skyscrapers in this district creates one of the largest skylines in the United States. However, the downtown area becomes one of loneliest places if you visit during the weekends.

A perfect day in Houston? Spending the day out in the pool with some Margaritas.

If someone was visiting what must they do? Houston is home to several great artworks from surrealists and expressionists such as Dali, Ernst, Rothko, and Twombly. A visit to Rothko Chapel is a must. I would not miss the Museum of Fine ArtsMenil MuseumCy Twombly Gallery or the Houston Center of Photography, which has hosted photographers such as Bryan Schutmaat.

A perfect meal in Houston? Tough question. Apparently, Houston has over 11,000 restaurants. Houston is very proud of its steaks and BBQs. I prefer the Indian restaurants along Hilcroft, Mediterranean at Pasha’s or Colombian food at Mi Pueblito.

A little known fact? Some of my favorite movie directors such as Wes Anderson and Richard Linklater are from Houston.
