Blending with the local people will give you more knowledge on the real life of the Balinese atmosphere. Most of the foreigners/tourists are only attracted to the Kuta or Seminyak area but rarely do people have interest in visiting other parts of Bali to see the real social daily life.

A perfect day?

Perfect day would be hire a motorcycle from any tourist accommodation then ride to main city of Denpasar and try to interact with the nice and friendly local people.

What is the best thing about your spot?

Nature life of the Balinese people, the simplicity of their life.

What is the worst?

The weather of course sometimes it can goes high temp, use sun block before you take a ride.

What would be surprising about this place to an outsider?

The food I believe. You would get the different taste then from your fine dining restaurant.
