Can you sum up York? Small town, blue collar.
What is a perfect day in York? Sun shining and 70 degrees.
If York was a person or character who would it be and why? Elmer Fudd because he’s the first that came to mind. I think you’ll get it but a far cry from Miami, where I just moved from, who I would describe as Jessica Rabbit.
How long have you been using Instagram? My first post was 249 weeks ago, so about four and a half years, but I really didn’t take it seriously until about three years ago.
Do you shoot with your phone or other cameras or both? I used to pride myself on an all iPhone feed but lately some of my camera photos have been sneaking in. I still try and keep it 99% iPhone because in the beginning that’s all you could use.
What is your editing process? I like my photos to look more natural so VSCO is my go to but when I’m feeling creative I’ll dabble in a few others.
Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? It definitely helped me hone my skills by meeting with other people and talking process. When I shoot for Instagram I shoot vertical but when I use my camera I barely ever turn it vertical.
Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Follow others that inspire you and use the community to meet up with them. I met a lot of great people through Instameets.
Who are your three favorite Instagrammers? Wow, tough one and it changes often, but right now I’d have to say @beardarmstrong, @bralts, and @marilynhue.
