Preoccupation: Drawing and using letterforms.
Tell us how you created your illustration: I wanted to create something colorful and play a bit with different lettering styles, reflecting the different emphasis of the words. It was a great way to improve on new letter shapes. But most importantly I tried to have fun while doing it.
What do you love about illustration? The freedom of visualizing messages on a very personal level without having to struggle too much with clients.
Who are three of your favorite illustrators right now? There are a lot of people who I admire in the field of type design. Personally, I find inspiration everywhere. I’m a very visual person, so everything around me influences every new project I do.
If Vienna were a person or a character who would it be?
It would be a friendly old grandfather; one who is wearing a Superman costume underneath his clothes.

Best outdoor activity:
One of the best things here in Austria is the landscape. I would say conquering our beautiful mountains.
Local Tip:
For going out at night, I would say Pratersauna, a small club here in Vienna. For a quieter time, you can visit one of our very old coffeeshops, like the Hawelka in the city centre. Time runs differently there.
Must do:
Eat well and walk around a lot. As long as you are in the inner city, you will find a lot of small and cozy cafés or shops. You will meet a lot of friendly people and get inspired by just watching the shape of the city.
