It’s a port on the Mediterranean where you can find a lot of diversity in food, cultural products, and festivals throughout the year. Even though it’s a city of about 1 million people, there are many places where you feel as if you are in the middle of a village, or a quiet spot in nature.

A perfect day in Marseille?

A sunny day with the typical wind (called “mistral”) blowing by the Mediterranean sea.

What is the best thing about Marseille?

The speed and sound of the wind.

What is the worst?

Garbage strikes and rats.

What would be surprising about Marseille to an outsider?

The incredible mix of urban areas and hiking spots.
