Jeremy Veach’s Local Guide to Seattle by Jeremy Veach in Seattle, Washington

For this project,  I wanted to do something more fun and unique, and not shoot too many of the “typical” Seattle shots.

Name:Jeremy Veach

Occupation: Painter and photographer

Place you live: Seattle

How would you sum up Seattle? Probably the coolest city ever. There is so much to do and see. There are a ton of fun little shops to go to and it seems like there is always some sort of event going on.

Can you sum up the people of Seattle? Super friendly! I think everyone is so friendly because there is such a positive vibe here. It’s sort of hard to explain.

What are the three best viewpoints in Seattle? Kerry Park, Alki Beach, and seeing Seattle from the ferry is pretty cool.

What was the experience like shooting for a campaign to promote Seattle to the world? It’s tricky to photograph something you have seen so much. I tend to just overlook the things I see every day. Shooting these really opened my eyes to the city.

Describe a perfect day in Seattle: Well I would go to a baseball game for sure! Then probably grab a coffee and explore the city; there is so much to see, like different festivals, sporting events and markets.

What do you love about Seattle? I love how unique and fun it is. There is always something going on.

Can you give a couple of tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Just have fun and shoot what you like. That’s why I take so many photos of my dog.
