Tell us about the place you live:

Montara has 2000 residents but is only a 30 minute drive north to San Francisco. The summers are normally foggy and cool. The best time to visit is in the fall or spring when the weather heats up. The winter features massive waves that break up and down the coast attracting some of the worlds best big wave surfers. Mavericks is the most famous wave on the coast and can reach heights of over 80 feet (24 m).

A perfect day?

The perfect day in Montara starts and ends at the beach. Montara Mountain also has some great hikes with epic views of the ocean.

Before I die I want to visit:

Shanghai, China, where my Father was born.

Who are three of your favorite artists?

Sebastiao Salgado (photographer), Andrew Bird (musician), Werner Herzog (filmmaker)
