Can you sum Los Angeles? A city full of life, vibrancy, diversity, art, music, sun & sand.

What is a perfect day in Los Angeles? Breakfast at Canele on the Eastside for their french toast. Then a stop at the Studio City Farmer’s Market, followed by a nap at home. Then off to the beach to watch our little boy run in the sand and splash in the ocean — his favorite thing to do. Tanned and tired, a quick stop at In ‘n Out for some burgers and fries and then home for a restful sleep.

If Los Angeles was a person or character who would it be and why? If I close my eyes, I see LA as a mash up of Bill Murray, Joni Mitchell, Pharrell Williams. A mix of eclectic, rock ‘n roll and fashionable.

How long have you been using Instagram? Probably 3-4 years.

Do you shoot with your phone or other cameras or both? Both, but more with my phone these days, especially with a two year old. It’s much easier to just pull out my phone!

What is your editing process? Usually some adjustments and playing around with filters in VSCO.

Has Instagram/phoneography affected how you shoot? It reminds me of the benefits of spontaneity. It reminds me that there are stories to tell everywhere you look.

Can you give a couple tips to aspiring Instagram photographers? Play. Experiment. Don’t overthink. Trust your instincts. Be yourself. The beauty of photography is that we all see the world differently. Show us the way you see yours.
